Valletta
Valletta is the capital of Malta. Located on the main island, Valletta is the southernmost capital of Europe, and it is the European Union's smallest capital city. The city was officially recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980 with 320 monuments, all within an area of 0.55 square kilometres, making it one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world. Sometimes called an "open-air museum", Valletta was chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2018.
The accommodation facility is a youth activity centre which is perfectly tailored for your comfort and convenience. You will have access to a self-catering kitchen with a dining room, two dormitories, and inside/outside leisure spaces with WI-FI. The facility and our scheduled activities are also wheelchair accessible/suitable to ensure everyone can join the fun!
Planned activities
Get ready for an action-packed itinerary that showcases the best of Malta. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the planned activities:
• An interactive activity at MUZA – National Museum of Art
• Ferry tour from Valletta to Three Cities: Witness the stunning coastal landscapes, soak up the sea breeze, and enjoy breath-taking views from a unique perspective.
• Rabat / Mdina Exploration: Step back in time as you explore Rabat and Mdina, the old capital city of Malta. Wander through the narrow medieval streets of Mdina, often referred to as the “Silent City”, and discover why it has served as a backdrop for popular movies and TV series like Game of Thrones, Troy and Gladiator. Experience the captivating history and architecture of this beautifully preserved European gem!
• Discover Gozo: On this enchanting trip, we will discover the captivating island of Malta, Gozo where you will also find opportunity to swim at the hidden gem beach or visit Cittadella, the ancient fortified city.

Catania
Catania is the second-largest municipality in Sicily, after Palermo, both by area and by population. Despite its reputation as the second city of the island, Catania is the largest Sicilian conurbation and among the largest in Italy. It has important road and rail transport infrastructures, and hosts the main airport in Sicily (fifth-largest in Italy). The city is located on Sicily's east coast, facing the Ionian Sea at the base of the active volcano Mount Etna.
Catania was founded in the 8th century BC by Chalcidian Greeks in Magna Graecia. The city has weathered multiple geologic catastrophes: from earthquakes to major eruption and lava flow from nearby Mount Etna.
During the 14th century, and into the Renaissance period, Catania was one of Italy's most important cultural, artistic and political centres. It was the site of Sicily's first university, founded in 1434, and it has been the native or adopted home of some of Italy's most famous artists and writers.
Catania today is the industrial, logistical, and commercial center of Sicily. Its airport, the Catania–Fontanarossa Airport, is the largest in Southern Italy. The central "old town" of Catania features exuberant late-baroque architecture, prompted after the 1693 earthquake, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
